Attualmente è il più anziano suonatore ancora in attività. E' stato allievo dei fratelli Antonio ed Emanuele Lara ed ebbe lezioni anche da Efisio Melis. Profondo conoscitore di tutte le suonate da ballo, può vantare una carriera molto ricca e densa di vari appuntamenti, dalle feste di piazza ad incontri nazionali e internazionali di musica popolare. Citato da Bentzon tra i suoi informatori, non solo come suonatore ma anche come un buon cantante e ottimo ballerino. Ha al suo attivo alcune incisioni discografiche.
