THE REGIONS OF OGLIASTRA AND SARCIDANO
These regions include an interior area which is
particularly poor and slowly decreasing in
population and a seaside one which is, instead,
playing all its economical cards on tourism.
The interior areas are characterised by
oak-forests, fascinating valleys (such as that of
the Flumendosa) and solitary roads on which the
visitor travels having the feeling of travelling
in another period of time. The coasts with their
beautiful beaches offer the tourist a series of
'wild' views and landscapes of immense beauty.
The villages included in the itinerary are Laconi,
Isili, Seui, Tortolì, Baunei, Lanusei, Barisardo,
Tertenia, Jerzu.
Two days are necessary to visit both the interior
and the seaside areas.
