Launeddas a Roma
Le launeddas hanno esercitato
dal dopoguerra una grande attrazione nei confronti delle diverse
aree della musica colta. Uno dei più interessanti e produttivi
contatti si è avuto nella metà degli anni '70 tra
quattro musicisti romani: Massimo Nardi (nella foto), Luca
Balbo , Carlo, Alberto
Mariani e il laboratorio del maestro Dionigi Burranca . I
fratelli Mariani e Luca Balbo hanno preso lezioni sullo strumento;
Massimo Nardi e lo stesso Balbo
si sono dedicati ad un inedito e affascinante lavoro di trasposizione
delle "nodas" sulla tastiera della chitarra.. Dopo molti
anni totalmente dedicati a questi studi i quattro amici hanno
seguito percorsi ed esperianze diverse. Luca Balbo ha intrapreso
un solitario percorso di studio; Massimo Nardi ha sviluppato interamente
il suo progetto di adattamento attraverso una personalissima tecnica
chitarristica. Nardi e Carlo Mariani hanno condensato le proprie
esperienze nella produzione musicale dei "Tanit" e nella
registrazione di un CD dove, insieme ad alcune riproposizioni
tradizionali del repertorio di Dionigi Burranca, vengono presentate
composizioni ispirate dalla musica sarda. Alberto e Carlo Mariani
hanno inoltre collaborato con il maestro Burranca all'incisione
di un CD del sassofonista David Liebman.
The Launeddas have exerted a great attraction
on different areas of educated music, since the post -war. One
of the most interesting and fruitful contacts was in the mid-seventies
among four Roman musicians: Massimo Nardi (in the picture), Luca
Balbo, Carlo and Alberto Mariani and the Master Dionigi Burranca's
workshop. The Mariani Brothers and Luca Balbo took lessons of
launeddas; Massimo Nardi and the above-mentioned Balbo devoted
themselves to a new and fascinating work of transposition of the
"nodas" to the guitar keyboard. After devoting many
years completely to these studies, the four friends have gone
by different routes and experiences. Luca Balbo has gone in for
a solitary study route; Massimo Nardi has developed entirely his
project of adaptation through his own guitar technique. Nardi
and Carlo Mariani have compressed their experiences in the musical
production of the "Tanit" and in the recording of a
CD where, together with a few traditional reproductions from Dionigi
Burranca's repertory, Sardinian music inspired compositions are
presented. Besides Alberto and Carlo Mariani have worked together
with the Master Burranca on the recording of one of the saxophonist
David Liebman's CDs.
